The plot above shows that there is a medium correlation between latitude and wind speed. This data shows that when the latitudes are close to the extreme values (-90,90) there is more windspeed. For this observation to be more conclusive, a second study should be done including more data points at the extreme values, since there are a minimal amount of them now.
